The sun has got its hat on

Whenever my sister comes to visit, I become Uncle Ben again and switch seamlessly into what I hope is the cool Uncle role.
Although the older I get, the more futile I realise that aim is!
Thankfully, my two nephews are young enough to impress with what is pretty basic material, although there’s only so many times I can throw a frisbee a mile down the road before they get bored.
Okay, I might be exaggerating a bit.
But one thing I have learned over the years is just how much easier it is to entertain kids when the sun is shining.
In fact, the whole world looks a lot better when the sun is out, doesn’t it?
It makes those outdoor shoots absolutely stunning and while keeping the glare out of people’s eyes (and the camera lens) is a different challenge to deal with, it’s always preferable to dealing with grey skies and rain.
We’re in a strange spot as we hop from one Bank Holiday to another, which makes the weeks feel like they’re going even faster than they already are…
All of which means summer will be here before we know it.
So, if you’ve got something you’re planning for 2025, whether it’s this summer, an event in the autumn, a big launch or you want to start making regular content videos, there’s no time like the present.
After all, the sun is shining, the weeks are ticking by and if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to make the most of it while it lasts.
Speak soon,
Ben (The Video Guy)
