The 6pm benchmark

After a biblical amount of consecutive days of rain (it was 41 so we even outdid Noah’s effort), I’ve quite enjoyed a couple of sunny days this week.
And the temperature even reached double digits – it’s all a bit much!
To add to the excitement, the sun sets at 6pm on 9th March here in Solihull, and it won’t set before 6pm again until late October.
As someone who loves spending time outdoors, it really does feel like a line in the sand where we can finally start to reclaim our evenings again.
The year’s rapidly gaining momentum now and we’re only a few weeks from Easter AND the start of the new financial year.
Which means those grand plans for 2026 ought to be really taking shape now.
I know event and exhibition season is well underway and that momentum is only continuing, so if you’ve got anything coming up and you think video and photography could really add something, I’m all ears.
I’ve been enjoying a few more shoots outdoors recently, weather permitting, and now that there’s a bit more sunshine, those shots of your premises, content videos, homepage videos and sales videos start to look a whole lot more attractive.
Less grayscale and more sunshine, lollipops and rainbows!
So, whatever’s on the agenda, the time to strike is now, because the iron really is hot and 2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting one…
Shall we have a chat about your next video project? let me know.
Speak soon,
Ben (The Video Guy)
