I’m great with a camera, less so with a hammer…

When it comes to DIY, there are some things that I’ll touch and others I’d rather leave to the experts…

Flatpack furniture, sure thing.

Electrical rewiring… less so.

There’s a time and place for doing things on your own and a time when it’s probably wise to call the experts.

It’s the same with video –and it’s something I’ve seen my fair share of over the years.

Creating content is a great thing to do and regular video content can be a great weapon in your arsenal, especially when it comes to communicating with your customers and prospects.

But the last thing you want to do is stretch yourself beyond your limitations… because that’s when video content misses the target.

For example, filming at exhibitions and events can be a minefield if you’re trying to do it yourself –you’ve already got a million and one other things to focus on and it becomes a chore to get the right shots.

And the last thing you want to do is end up with a few short clips that you just post to your Instagram story, right?

It’s why I always enjoy capturing ‘live’ content at events and exhibitions – I can ensure that everything is captured to give the best overview of your business, your stand, and your experience at the event.

The same goes for customer testimonial videos, too – if you’re going to the effort of getting customers you love working with on camera, you might as well go the whole 9 yards and get someone who knows the best questions to ask.

And that promo video on the homepage of your website – you want to give the best first impression you can, so why not get someone who knows how and has the kit to make you look your best on camera.

Content will always be king, but well-planned content takes it to another level.

If you’ve got an upcoming project you want to speak about, book in for a call below.

All the best,

Ben (The Video Guy)
