Engaging website videos, done for you

Hey, it's Ben again. I was recently working with strategic design consultancy Smallfry and made them a new homepage video that I thought you might like to see.


The client

Smallfry is an innovation consultancy that’s been around for over 50 years. They use strategic design to innovate all sorts of products and services, from toothbrushes, thermometers and vacuums to spacesuits, robotics and life-changing medical devices.


The challenge

Smallfry can transform the innovation culture at any given organisation, but before they started working with Ideal Result, you’d have a hard job knowing what exactly it is that they do. Their website lacked clarity and personality, so with a sprinkling of new copy and a brand new video, we’ve turned things around. We wanted to craft a video that puts a face to the business and shows the world why Smallfry’s consultancy is the difference between a product flopping or flying.


The script

Grace worked with Steve to make sure the script covered all Smallfry’s USPs and appealed to the right people. We gathered feedback from a select group of Steve’s contacts to make sure it got the message across, and came up with something that hits the brief and keeps the watcher’s attention from start to finish.


The video

Nobody wants to watch a video that isn’t engaging and dynamic, so rather than relying on the static images that Smallfry provided, I visited their workshop in Coventry to get some B-roll of the team doing what they do best. Smallfry’s CEO Steve came to the barn to film our script straight to camera too. With that, some beautiful product images and a little bit of witchcraft, I created something that really shows these guys off in their best light.


How to drive home your USPs with a video for your website

Smallfry have come away with a fresh home page video which finally crystalises all the many weird and wonderful things they do and sets them apart as true experts in their field.


Video’s proving a seriously effective route for marketing these days, and a really hot channel for tracking and prospecting too.
