Can’t AI do it for me?

Once upon a time, Artificial Intelligence was just a Steven Spielberg film.

There’s still a part of me that jumps straight to Terminator whenever I think of a future run by AI…

But the reality is that it’s here right now in 2024.

This week, I’ve been taking a look at Open AI’s generative video – and I have to admit, I’m impressed.

The still below is taken from an AI-generated video… impressive, right?

There are plenty of applicable uses for AI-generated video and it’ll be interesting to see how it develops.

The thing is, though, it will never be able to replace real people.

In much the same way that AI-generated copy is useful up to a point, so is AI-generated video.

It also ignores one of the biggest principles of marketing – people buy from people.

The reason for creating video content isn’t simply to create something that looks fantastic, it’s also to create content that compels, connects, and tells a story.

That story is yours and yours alone and that’s something I can help you to tell.

I’d love to know your thoughts on AI and how useful you think it is – as someone who is fascinated with new tech, I’ve been doing a lot of research on it in the last few months.

My biggest gripe with it is that it’ll never be able to inject that sense of personality that real people can, what do you think?

Speak soon,
